Claro and MobiTV Introduce Mobile Television in Brazil

Claro Subscribers Can Now Watch TV Content Everywhere

EMERYVILLE, CA – October 23, 2006 –Claro, one of the leading mobile communications operators in Brazil and a subsidiary of América Móvil [NYSE: AMX] [LATIBEX: XAMXL], and MobiTV, Inc., the global leader in television and music services for all things mobile and broadband, today announced the official availability of the MobiTV® service to more than 20 million mobile subscribers in Brazil.  Claro is the second of the América Móvil carriers in Latin America to launch the MobiTV service as part of a pan-Latin America agreement.  MobiTV and Telcel announced a strategic partnership back in May of this year.

Along with the technology and infrastructure to deliver live television content to Claro subscribers, MobiTV brings top-rated international television networks to the partnership and will offer the content in both Spanish and Portuguese.<
