MobiTV taps chief operating officer

MobiTV Inc. hired Anders Norstrom as chief operating officer.

He won’t start full time in the company’s Emeryville head office, though, until January. Until then he’ll split his time between offices in the United States and in Sweden.

Norstrom has been working for MobiTV as managing director of Europe for two years. He follows the company's previous COO, Bruce Gilpin.

Gilpin now works at a startup called Brammo in Ashland, Ore.

Before MobiTV hired Norstrom, he worked for Popwire Technology, owned by Ericsson.

Charlie Nooney is CEO of MobiTV. The company sends live television to mobile devices.
